Overview
Medical Laboratory Scientist II, Evenings, Baptist Clay — Full-time, evenings (Monday - Friday, 2:30pm-11pm) with rotating holidays. Location: Baptist Clay, 1771 Baptist Clay Drive, Fleming Island, FL 32003. Responsibilities
Maintain expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in applicable laboratory areas. Maintain records of performance as defined in SOP manuals. Operate under supervision by the Director and Section Supervisors; capable of performing all responsibilities without on-site supervision. Supervise MLTs as General Supervisor and serve as Charge Technologist in the absence of other lab supervisors or MTs. Instruct new employees and students when applicable. Qualifications
Licensed as a Medical Technologist in the State of Florida in Chemistry and Hematology. License note: Candidates licensed prior to 1997 are not required to have certification per the State of Florida licensure rules. Education: Associate 0Degree required; Bachelor 0Degree preferred. Experience: 2 years Medical Technologist experience preferred. Certifications: Certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred, or Licensed Medical Technologist/Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician required (as applicable).
