Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist – Outpatient role at Swedish focuses on delivering and supervising services in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing. Upon physician referral, the SLP performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements the plans of care, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning. Services are delivered within a team framework that includes all disciplines, the patient and their significant others. Services may be required for pediatric adolescents as well as inpatients and outpatients, and are delivered in compliance with Swedish Medical Center standards, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted state-of-the-art practice.
Responsibilities
Perform evaluations and develop individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes. Implement plans of care and reassess treatment results. Actively participate in discharge planning. Deliver services within a team-based framework, coordinating with all disciplines, the patient and their significant others. Provide services for pediatric adolescents as well as for both inpatients and outpatients as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Washington State License as Speech Language Pathologist upon hire National Provider BLS — American Heart Association upon hire
