Oncology Regional Director, Solid Tumors - Northwest Region
Location: Northwest region (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Northern Nevada and Alaska). The candidate must reside in the region. About The Role The Oncology Regional Director will lead a team of seven Oncology Territory Managers (OTMs) for the Solid Tumor Team. This Regional Director will be responsible for driving the performance for two brands, one for mCRC and the other for Lung cancer, across the Northwest region. The base pay range is provided below; actual pay depends on skills and experience. Base pay range $204,800.00/yr - $281,600.00/yr Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop seven OTMs to ensure the sales strategy and plan succeed in the assigned territory Lead development and execution of major programs to meet sales objectives Oversee business planning, customer relationship management, reporting and tracking of execution metrics Coordinate regional training and communications to keep the team informed and engaged Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to interaction with healthcare professionals and dissemination of literature and information Drive results by establishing goals, managing resources, and achieving regional plans with limited supervision Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Value & Access, Learning and Development) Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reports per company policies Business Excellence and Strategic Account Management Analyze regional business trends and opportunities with strong business acumen Execute marketing plans and drive results Deliver business reviews and collaborate with Business Insights and Analytics to identify product opportunities Develop and execute strategic and tactical account planning, stakeholder mapping, and value propositions in collaboration with Marketing and PVA Gains formulary and protocol access for Takeda Oncology products Manage accounts at larger outlets and develop relationships with Executive Level, Operations, Financial, and Pharmacy stakeholders Engage with KOLs and clinical experts to influence institutional processes and protocols Identify key stakeholders within accounts and build cross-organizational relationships Develop cross-functional business plans and launches for large-volume accounts Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 8+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceutical/biotech with 3+ years in Oncology 3+ years of Oncology sales leadership experience preferred Proven ability to manage a geographic region Candidate should live near a major airport Track record of successful business planning and execution; established relationships in the assigned region High science aptitude with ability to coach, teach and train Growth mindset; dynamic, self-starter with influential and entrepreneurial spirit Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commercial, regulatory and technical awareness Willingness to travel 50-60% across the region Valid US Driver’s License in good standing Preferred 4+ years of successful leadership experience 3+ years of direct oncology leadership experience Master’s degree People leadership and coaching with demonstrated ability to lead others Travel Approximately 50-60% travel, including some evening programs and weekend conferences About Takeda Takeda is transforming patient care through development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and patient support programs.
