Data Modeler

who thrives at the intersection of technology and business, bringing expertise in modeling, governance, and user experience. You’ll champion Fabric migration, optimize performance and cost, and deliver intuitive models that make complex data easy to use—helping us take our data strategy to the next level. Responsibilities Design and maintain scalable, reusable

semantic models

that support enterprise and departmental reporting needs. Own

Power BI administration, governance, paginated reports, capacity monitoring, and usage oversight . Champion

Microsoft Fabric migration , evaluating workloads across performance, cost, and developer/user experience. Translate business logic into facts, dimensions, and measures using best practices (SCDs, surrogate keys, performance optimization). Partner with Data Engineering to ensure curated layers in

Snowflake and SQL Server

meet modeling needs. Incorporate

user experience principles

into all designs to maximize adoption and ease of use. Document definitions, lineage, and participate in reviews to continuously improve data quality. Share knowledge, mentor peers, and provide clear, timely updates to keep the team aligned. Support performance tuning and assist with Data Engineering tasks in Snowflake or similar platforms as needed. Skills & Experience A passion for building

data models

that make analytics simple, intuitive, and impactful. Experience (3+ years) in

data modeling, engineering, or analytics , with exposure to finance or business analysis. Strong SQL skills, and comfort working in

Snowflake and SQL Server . Deep expertise in the

Power BI ecosystem

— including semantic models, DAX, Paginated Reports, capacity monitoring, governance, and Gateway. Hands-on experience with Tabular Editor and DAX Studio

to make models faster, cleaner, and easier to maintain. An eye for

user experience

— you think about how models feel to the people using them, not just how they’re built. A

self-starter mindset : you solve problems with little direction, keep your team updated, and love sharing what you’ve learned.
