Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machinist / Programmer with strong knowledge of Fusion 360 CAM and hands-on experience operating and programming Swiss-style CNC lathes, preferably Star machines. The ideal candidate can program from print, set up, and operate independently to produce precision parts to exact tolerances. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a clean, modern shop environment, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on high-precision components for medical, aerospace, defense, etc. industries. Responsibilities
Program Swiss CNC machines using Fusion 360, including toolpath creation and post-processing. Set up and operate Star Swiss-type CNC lathes (or similar: Tsugami, etc.). Select tooling, set offsets, and perform complete machine setups. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and part specs for high-precision manufacturing. Perform in-process inspection and first article inspection using precision measurement tools. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues to ensure part conformance. Work with the engineering and quality teams to refine and improve machining processes. Maintain clean and organized work area; follow shop safety and quality standards. Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Swiss CNC Machinist / Programmer. Proficient in Fusion 360 CAM, especially turning and live tooling toolpaths. Hands-on experience with Swiss-type machines (preferably Star machines). Strong knowledge of speeds/feeds, tooling, and setup for a variety of materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions. Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools. Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Equipment / Software in Our Shop
