Overview
Task Force Talent is seeking a Penetration Tester with an active TS/SCI FSP security clearance. Target salary range is 100k 210k, depending on experience level. Our client for this role is a small company with unique experience and expertise in cybersecurity and related areas. Candidates should have a background or experience in a technical area, excellent teamwork skills, and be willing to learn. Ideally, candidates also know something about networks, forensics, software engineering, or similar areas. This is uniquely rewarding, highimpact work that cannot be done elsewhere. Experience with: Grey and black box penetration testing and system exploitation against desktops, servers, applications, operating systems, and security systems to gain root and administrator access Performing reconnaissance, privilege escalation, persistence, lateral movement, and payload generation against information systems Analyzing vulnerabilities, identifying network risks, and providing mitigation recommendations Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) Developing security test plans Linux/Windows as well as virtual and wireless platforms Infosec policies Tools such as nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, IDA Pro, Encase, etc. Network security technologies (firewalls, proxies, iptables, VPN, IDS/IPS, etc.)
Cloud and security testing experience preferred; ability to learn and adapt in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct grey and black box penetration testing and system exploitation to gain access and assess security controls Perform reconnaissance, privilege escalation, persistence, lateral movement, and payload generation against information systems Analyze vulnerabilities, identify network risks, and provide mitigation recommendations Develop and execute security test plans Work with Linux/Windows environments, virtual and wireless platforms, and cloud infrastructures Adhere to information security policies and best practices Utilize tools such as nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, IDA Pro, Encase, and related technologies Engage with network security technologies (firewalls, proxies, iptables, VPN, IDS/IPS, etc.)
