Financial Services We are seeking a strong Java engineer able to work with Artifactory, and AWS migrations (CICD work, work with S3, EC2, CloudFront) to drive code efforts on a long term project, all applicants MUST be willing to work hybrid (half the time on site) in Durham NC. The team requires someone flexible, able to adapt, with strong communication skills when working with other business leaders, as well as other technical groups (high emotional intelligence as well as cultural awareness, as you will work across different business units, and even with team mates internationally and need to come with a willingness to be open to feedback Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $60 - $65 / hr. w2 Responsibilities:
Drive agile release cycles by delivering high quality secure code using object oriented programming abilities with Java, Spring framework Partner with others to develop, test, and deploy quality microservices, APIs, and RESTful web services for public cloud use Create and manage resources within the cloud and implement software improvements to ensure fully functional software characteristics as it pertains to systems, APIs, and cloud technologies Collaborate with team members to meet agile objectives, deliver value, and work on both existing frameworks and new technologies as a hands-on engineer while aiming for performant, reliable, resilient, and quality distributed apps within public cloud (AWS/Azure) Experience Requirements:
Requires 8+ progressive years within engineering, with a focus on problem solving with a positive attitude Java abilities: multi-threading, concurrency, lambda expressions, must be able to work with different architectures (12-factor, event driven, microservices) and utilize different patterns such as gang of fours, et cetera Must be able to work with testing, including API documentation, unit testing, and be able to work with latest industry standards for frameworks and design patterns Experience with CICD is a must (I.E. AWS, Udeploy, Git, Docker, Containers, Jenkins, Maven, et cetera) Education Requirements:
