Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Storage Engineer to join their team in their Richmond location. As a Mainframe Storage Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Support Department supporting Mainframe Storage projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

competitive W2 (sorry, no C2C for this one) What's the Job? Support systems engineering activities for Mainframe (System z) Storage projects, including design, build, development, and implementation.
Maintain and operate DASD management and replication systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
Collaborate with senior personnel and project managers on technical projects, providing guidance and peer reviews.
Assist with the implementation of new Mainframe Storage technologies and support ongoing operations.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support system configurations and procedures.
What's Needed? Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an MF Storage administrator.
Proficiency with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication.
Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations and Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors.
Knowledge of mainframe operations, including ACC/SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS.
Strong technical documentation writing skills and proficiency with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX.
