LJA . Austin, TX role with opportunities to work on water, wastewater, and roadway projects, with responsibilities spanning PS&E design, project documentation for TxDOT and local agencies, and program management support across project development phases. Responsibilities
Lead PS&E design and provide construction oversight for water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, lift stations, and discharge permits. Develop schematics and produce complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for TxDOT and local government roadway projects. Collaborate with leadership to deliver GEC/Program Management support for multiple agencies and TxDOT through all phases of project development. Manage internal teams and external consultants on programming, environmental document review, design reviews, cost estimating, scheduling, construction oversight, right-of-way, utilities, and long-term operations and maintenance. Required Education / Licenses / Certifications
Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Recently passing the PE Exam will be considered) Required Qualifications
A TEAM first attitude with a commitment to leading a team with Integrity, Responsibility, and Perseverance 4+ years of experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, and/or Geopak (or Open Roads) Experience managing multiple deadlines Effective communication skills to engage with upper management and engineering staff Ability to adapt quickly to changing work assignments and project needs Open mind to alternative methods from what you have previously been taught Ideal Qualifications
Experience in a management capacity Experience with utility design (Electric, Gas, Drainage, Water, Wastewater) Experience with water distribution systems, treatment plants, sanitary sewer networks, lift stations Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, SAWS CPMS, CIVCAST, COSA PrimeLink Experience with TxRRC, TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, TXDOT and municipal permitting requirements Benefits
