Overview
KAIROS, Inc is seeking an energetic, experienced and highly motivated Mission Systems Sustainment, Systems Engineer, Journeyman to join our team. This position will be onsite at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD with teleworking opportunity. Primary Duties
Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems. Guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems. Employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems. Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge in avionics and mission systems with practical experience in modernization or upgrades. Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise. Experience supporting Service Life Extension initiatives, including identifying and resolving obsolescence issues. Background in avionics and mission systems with practical experience in modernization or upgrades. Demonstrated expertise in software engineering concepts as applied to avionics and systems integration. Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, tools, and methodologies. Ability to analyze, design, and document solutions that sustain and enhance system performance over time. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university. Three (3) years of recent and relevant in a position related to the labor category description. Clearance
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required. Compensation and Benefits
Salary range is estimated between $85,000 and $115,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
