xIL Application and Systems Engineer

Duties
Be a part of the Virtual Engineering team and work on Hardware-In-the-Loop simulators.
Develop HIL systems (dSPACE, ETAS, NI, etc.) with thorough knowledge of HIL simulator hardware, ECU electrical interface definition and harness development.
Act as the primary interface between xIL development team and external teams such as SW, Controls, CAL teams.
Collaborate with teams for xIL requirements and impact analysis.
Interface with cross-functional teams of ECU Hardware, Systems, SW, Controls, Plant Modeling and Calibration engineers to rapidly establish the xIL simulator setup for a specified vehicle configuration and resolve xIL simulation environment and/or integration issues, triage, and troubleshooting during commissioning of xIL test properties.
Work with global teams (NA, EMEA, APAC and LATAM).
Conduct benchmarks, evaluate new HIL technologies, and work with teams on process, methodology and tools.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in automotive electrical/electronics, hardware, software or controls.
Experience with ICE (internal combustion engines), transmissions, vehicle dynamics, and electric and hybrid systems and simulation software.
Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop systems including dSPACE, ETAS, and NI HIL systems.
Experience in implementation and troubleshooting of HIL electrical/wiring harnesses, including hardware design using Loadbox, etc.
Experience working with UDS, XCP protocol.
Experience in HIL testing, vehicle integration and validation.
Experience with MIL/SIL/xIL development, testing, and delivery of test properties.
Knowledge of AUTOSAR Adaptive platform.
