Overview Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Software Quality Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT.
What You’ll Get to Do
You will be responsible to provide Software Quality support for one or more software development teams (IPTs) on the Sentinel program.
Our focus is on ensuring process execution and compliance in the development, testing and release of the software deliverables.
Essential Functions
Support individual scrum/sprint teams by attending meetings, creating Jira dashboard tools to help monitor progress and execution efficiency.
Offer suggestions for improvement to software leadership.
Create process health, progress and stability metrics when required
Become fluent in the use of tools; Jira, Confluence, DOORS or others as needed
Be a constructive advocate for Mission Assurance and relentlessly articulate our Value Proposition to our stakeholders
Ensure Sentinel software is in compliance with industry standards, NG processes and contractual requirements for development of military weapon systems.
Maintain a keen focus on employee engagement, teaming and collaboration, process improvement, rework reduction, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications
2 years of experience with Bachelors in Science; or 0 years of work experience with a Masters degree; or 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in implementing Software Quality Assurance plans and knowledgeable of Software Quality Assurance processes.
Experience in developing and/or using metrics
Experience in evaluation, tracing, and/or analysis of requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for a large program/supplier-base.
Experience in Peer Reviews and Code Reviews
Experience in software build testing, qualification, and Integration and Test
Able to read and understand Software Code (C++, Java, Python)
Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools (e.g., SAP, DOORs, Jira, Confluence)
Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
A Current/Active Top Secret clearance
Salary and Schedule Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus. Long Term Incentives may apply for higher roles. Northrop Grumman provides health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
Work schedule: 9/80A (nine-hour days Monday-Thursday with every other Friday off).
