Overview
Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) SAP Basis & Security Architect! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. This is a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote. As an SAP Basis & Security Architect, you will be a key member of our technology team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the SAP landscape within the context of the innovative SAP RISE model. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the successful deployment and operation of SAP solutions across our organization. Responsibilities
Management of SAP RISE managed infrastructure: collaborate with business teams, SAP ECS and IT cross-functional teams to design and optimize the SAP portfolio of cloud-based software and services; ensure scalability, high availability, and performance of SAP systems as project deliverables and for long-term sustainability of support and operations. Technical owner and management of SAP cloud solutions: understand cloud applications and their interdependencies with the ERP core including IBP, SAC, Datasphere, Ariba and BTP; coordinate with functional product owners for issue resolution, maintenance or upgrades; escalate critical incidents requiring cross-team collaboration and technical leadership. BASIS Administration: align with SAP ECS Roles and Responsibilities, oversee BASIS support activities (system provisioning, version/patch management, transport management, performance monitoring); manage transformation project deliverables with the systems integrator; define strategies for managing SAP applications in private and public clouds; establish metrics to monitor system health and implement security measures. Security and Compliance: develop and enforce SAP security policies, access controls, and authorization mechanisms; work with the project System Integrator to develop user roles, authorization and provisioning processes aligned to best practices; conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments; collaborate with compliance teams to adhere to industry standards and regulations. Solution Architecture: translate business requirements into SAP architectural solutions; design end-to-end solutions considering scalability, maintainability, and security; evaluate and recommend SAP modules, components, and integration patterns. Technical Leadership: provide guidance to project teams, developers, and administrators; mentor junior team members; stay updated on SAP trends and emerging technologies. Collaboration and Communication: work with cross-functional teams and communicate architectural proposals and justifications to stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) preferred. Proven experience as an SAP Architect, BASIS Administrator, or similar role. Strong knowledge of SAP landscapes, modules, and integration. Experience with S/4 HANA in an SAP RISE Managed Infrastructure with at least 10 years managing SAP landscapes. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience and strong technical understanding of SAP security concepts and role-based authorization. Proficient with SAP GRC tools and processes to support IT controls and access management. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience leading and supporting SAP applications with a managed service partner (AMS). Education & Experience
