Link-16 Ground Support System Engineer

Our IS4S Ogden, Utah location is seeking to hire an experienced Link-16 Ground Support System (GSS) Engineer to support procurement, installation and site acceptance testing of the system at various world-wide locations. In particular, we are looking for candidates who are self-starters, teachable, and able to learn new things as they work together with others to solve challenging technical problems. Worldwide travel is required. Job Role(s): This position will: Support conversion of customer requirements into clear system requirements for Link-16 GSS operation Support the planning, site preparation, integration, configuration, operations, and maintenance of the Link-16 GSS Perform systems engineering processes, procedures, and best practices Provide engineering expertise to activities such as development, testing, evaluating, training and configuration management in support of an program Provide technical support to evaluate and integrate new capabilities Work with system, hardware, and software teams to design solutions to meet requirements Work with test team to ensure that all requirements are tested The Successful Candidate Will Have Strong desire to contribute to overall team success Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite Required experience: Technical expertise on Link-16 Ground Support Systems High MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiency Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to travel internationally Ability and motivation to work with minimal direction Must be a US Citizen: This position requires obtaining a government security clearance. Additional Experience / Qualifications Of Interest Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related technical field Operational experience Link-16 GSS: TDMA, 1553B, IP connect verification, Maps and graphics displays, Data Recording standards, Data formats, Hardware integration Strong decision making and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions Proactive, self-motivated and self-directing; able to drive deliverables and results which involves people who do not always report to you Equal Opportunity
