Position Summary:
Facilitator to work at Children's Aid-I.S. 61 After School Program, part-time, providing recreational and educational enrichment activities to children ages 10-14 years old.
Responsibilities
Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
Assist in supervision of a group of 25-30 children.
Assisting in recreational activities for group which would include sports, art, games and other indoor and outdoor activities.
Assisting children with homework as needed.
Implementing educational enrichment activities with the group.
Working with individual children having difficulties adjusting to the program.
Attending trainings and staff meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: College Degree, attending college or relevant experience.
Key Competencies:
Understanding of developmental needs of children ranging in age from 10-14.
Demonstration of planning and program skills.
Past experience in working with children.
