Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a Windows Systems Administrator to join our high performing cyber team in support of a large government enterprise environment.
Overview
Windows Systems Administrator for a government enterprise environment. Location: Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities
Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Scheduling installations and upgrades and maintaining them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Ensuring workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions. Ensuring data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations. Developing and promoting standard operating procedures. Conducting routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Required Skills
Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly Requires BS or BA degree 5-year overall experience in the areas of Windows Systems Administration Microsoft Windows, Active Directory (R) Support Experience Understanding of NIST 800 series publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance Preferred Skills
Having the following tools experience and/or certifications Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) VMWare vSphere 7 experience (P) Cisco Networking (P) Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience (P) Familiarity with system accreditation and authorization and the FBI’s ATO processes Experience evaluating, documenting, and managing NIST 800-53 control implementations (P) Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM) (P) Benefits
