Overview
Job Title: WebMethods Lead / Architect Location: Milwaukee, WI (Onsite) Position Type: Contract Duration: 12+ Months Nbr of positions: 4 Responsibilities
Lead architecture, development, and support of WebMethods Integration Server solutions including Trading Networks, B2B, REST, SOAP, and EDI. Design and implement scalable integration flows using Flow services, Java, and WebMethods toolsets. Integrate with third-party systems using SAP R/3, JDBC, MQ, and other WebMethods Adapters. Work with integration artifacts such as IDOCs, XML, Flatfiles, and JSON. Resolve production issues, tune performance, and lead root cause analysis independently. Support and configure middleware platforms including WebLogic, Maven, and Spring 4.2. Develop and test RESTful APIs, enhance existing services, and support B2B onboarding. Collaborate with enterprise architects, solution owners, and offshore teams. Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards via code reviews and documentation. Contribute to DevOps integration and CI/CD pipeline strategy for integration assets. Bonus: Exposure to MuleSoft, Boomi, or other iPaaS tools is highly desirable. Required Skills & Experience
14+ years of hands-on WebMethods Integration experience (v10.x or newer) 7+ years of experience designing and debugging complex, real-time enterprise integrations Strong in: WebMethods B2B/EDI, Integration Server, Trading Networks Java / J2EE, Flow services, Spring 4.2, Maven REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML processing (JAXB, Jackson, Gson) Adapters: JDBC, SAP, MQ, FlatFile WebLogic, Unix scripting, SQL (PL/SQL/T-SQL level) Strong communication and client interfacing skills Capable of leading end-to-end integration efforts MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, SnapLogic or cloud-native iPaaS platforms Exposure to containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience in the financial services domain (banking, trading, compliance systems) Seniority level
