SkillBridge Fellowship | GEOINT Systems Field Engineer (Onsite) at Collins Aerospace. This is a full-time, on-site position at Beale AFB, CA, operating on a rotating 24/7 shift schedule. The role supports the US Air Force's Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) and involves managing GEOINT systems with a strong technical background and focus on customer support. SkillBridge fellows will not receive compensation during the fellowship and will continue to receive military pay and benefits. Provide direct mission support of airborne ISR and space-based operations using dedicated ground control systems to monitor and control sensor and ground system health/status and quickly resolve issues. Actively monitor, administer and troubleshoot GEOINT systems consisting of Linux, Windows, ESXi, Docker, and Puppet. Perform incident reporting and logistics during problem troubleshooting and resolution. Support GEOINT post-upgrade efforts in accordance with technical data, TTPs, and operating instructions (OIs). Perform pre-mission configuration tasks, including system checks, reboots, mission readiness testing, etc. Provide real-time GEOINT support to the customer, operators, and end-users. Qualifications You Must Have
Experience in systems administration and software management within a complex technical environment, preferably supporting GEOINT or similar systems. Typically 3–6 years of experience in the Air Force DCGS or similar environment. Air Force AFSC 1D7XX or 1NXXX background desired. Degree in STEM or completed 2 years’ accredited coursework toward such degree. Security: DoD 8570 certification (Security+ or higher). Proficiency with Linux, Microsoft Windows, ESXi, Docker, and Puppet. Strong technical skills in software management, system administration, and troubleshooting. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with customer, OEM, and internal stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team. Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance. Shift Work: Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift schedule. Location: On-site at Beale AFB, CA 100% of the time. Experience with Linux, Windows, ESXi, Docker, and Puppet system administration. GEOINT domain experience including airborne ISR sensors and PED architectures. Experience administering COTS or GOTS software for GEOINT analysis (e.g., Socet GXP, Xplorer, Unicorn) or other OEM software. Experience with VMware/Docker and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack). Familiarity with Serena SBM trouble-ticket reporting system. What We Offer
