Child Welfare Services Managers . Child Welfare Services Managers oversee several units of professional and support staff responsible for delivering services to assist children and families; monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and compliance with regulations and mandates; and recommend and implement changes to policies and procedures. Under the direction of a Deputy Director, incumbents will plan, organize, and direct the delivery of a wide range of child welfare social service programs in order to accomplish the department's mission and goals. job description. THE DEPARTMENT

Children and Family Services (CFS) provides family-centered programs and services designed to ensure safety, permanence and well-being for San Bernardino County's children while strengthening and attempting to preserve the family unit. CFS helps prevent further harm to children from intentional physical or mental injury, sexual abuse, exploitation or neglect by a person responsible for a child's health and welfare. Services provided include: Emergency Response, Family Maintenance, Family Reunification and Permanency Planning. Assignment:

Child Welfare Services Managers are rotated between Child Welfare service delivery and specialized administrative support programs, as well as across geographic regions. Assignments are made solely at the discretion of the Director of Children and Family Services and based on department needs.

Employees must be willing to accept employment and work at any CFS location

including San Bernardino, Barstow, Fontana, Needles, Rancho Cucamonga, Victorville, and/or Yucca Valley. Office locations may change due to space and department operational needs. Travel:

Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation. Experience:

Two (2) years of full-time experience equivalent to a Supervising Social Service Practitioner in San Bernardino County which includes supervising professional-level employees in a social work or related agency. AND Education:

Master’s degree in social work, human services, clinical psychology, or counseling with an emphasis in marriage, family or child psychology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to customer service, as well as strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. There will be a
