assignment with one of our premier clients in

Frisco, TX . We are seeking a highly skilled

Vulnerability & Threat Intelligence Analyst

to join our cybersecurity team. This role is responsible for conducting deep-dive vulnerability analysis, researching threats, and assessing organizational exposure across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will be naturally inquisitive, asking the right questions to understand exploitability, and will bring strong technical expertise across operating systems, networking, and middleware. Financial or banking sector experience is a plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities

Perform vulnerability analysis across enterprise infrastructure and applications. Conduct threat intelligence research to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential exposures. Assess exploitability by asking critical questions such as 'What do I need to do to expose this vulnerability?' Research vulnerabilities and provide actionable guidance on remediation and risk reduction. Maintain a strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals, servers, and middleware technologies. Analyze and secure environments across Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms. Collaborate with IT, Security, and Risk teams to prioritize and mitigate vulnerabilities. Deliver clear reports and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in vulnerability management and threat intelligence analysis. Strong understanding of networking concepts, servers, and system administration (Unix, Linux, Windows). Deep expertise with middleware technologies. Ability to critically assess vulnerabilities and determine organizational exposure. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a curious, investigative mindset. Experience in the finance/banking industry preferred, but not required. Preferred Skills

Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7). Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001, NIST).
