The Materials and Structural Analysis (MSD) Electron Microscopy (EM) business enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries and support global challenges. The MSD EM business designs, manufactures, and supports high-performance microscopy workflow solutions across micro-, nano-, and picometer-scale imaging. This role combines hardware and software expertise in electron, ion, and light microscopy with deep application knowledge across materials science, life sciences, semiconductor, electronics, and natural resources markets. The worldwide Electron Microscopy team is dedicated to helping customers pursue discovery and resolution. Location : Fremont, CA Responsibilities

Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initiation through release according to Product Management Process (PMP). Assist logistics and document management with Technical Product Documentation (TPD) and specification support. Identify areas for sustaining projects aimed at design, quality, and cost improvements using available data. Complete component obsolescence projects on current and near end-of-life products. Build manufacturing processes for new products and develop preventative maintenance plans for field support. May design tooling to meet cycle time and tool availability requirements. Deliver training to Manufacturing, Technical Support, and Service personnel on new product build, test, install, and repair procedures; contribute to ongoing training for factory and field service engineers. Resolve critical issues on the production floor to ensure on-time shipments; drive follow-up actions to ensure issues are resolved. Respond to and support safety issues on the manufacturing floor and/or field service. Provide support interfaces for Global Technical Support as needed. Support everyday field service escalations onsite or remotely as needed. Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering 5+ years of experience as an Operations Engineer, Process Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Technical Support, or related field (strongly preferred) Proficiency in documenting procedures, work instructions, engineering reports; ability to analyze data and apply basic experimental methods, test protocols, and procedures Experience leading technical projects and managing multi-functional projects from inception to completion Experience developing and deploying new products into a manufacturing environment Experience with Practical Process Improvements (PPI) including cost reduction through workflow or design improvements and driving quality improvements Proficiency in Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting EFA Meridian-OFI, Elite and/or SEM/FIB knowledge preferred Skills

Experience in delivering technology solutions to improve manufacturing and service quality, efficiency, and cost Knowledge of core technologies: vacuum, SEM, optics design and alignment, motion control, lasers, and process automation Knowledge of applications in Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) Structured problem solving and repair techniques Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required Fluent in English (verbal and written) Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% Benefits & Additional Information
