Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related degree and two years (24 months) of applicable experience. Or, alternatively, a master’s degree in information technology or a related degree and no experience, or a high school diploma / equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Responsibilities

Responsible for supervising an Application Team within the Graduate School and coordinating with Admissions, Recruitment, and Operations to design, develop, and deploy the graduate admissions and recruitment system (Slate).

Translate functional requirements of the Graduate School into technical processes inside the Graduate Application system, including developing applications, mailings, rules, portals, queries, and other technical development elements.

Send application data to the Student Information System - Campus Solutions (PeopleSoft).

Help develop reports and queries for reporting and act as liaison with the Office of Institutional Research for reporting needs.

Lead technical development for the Graduate School’s Slate instance, including designing, reviewing, analyzing, and modifying systems to support graduate admissions and recruitment activities.

Gather requirements from users, create specifications, and develop/write code and Slate configuration to support recruitment and application systems.

Encode, test, debug, and install functionality into Slate.

Develop standards and guidelines, monitor traffic, and analyze usage.

Identify current and future needs to ensure Slate supports the mission of the Graduate School.

May be responsible for the design, organization, functionality, accessibility, navigation, and overall usability of a unit's website in relation to graduate recruitment and admissions; perform other related duties as assigned.

Special Requirements THIS POSITION REQUIRES SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK. THE BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE CONDUCTED AS AUTHORIZED AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH UNIVERSITY POLICY 4-OP-C-7-B11.
