Worldwide Technology is looking for a
Lab Tech - Robotics Team . This job is part of WWT's Strategic Resourcing services. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT's preferred partners. Duration:
6 months+ What you'll be doing
Assemble, build, and install bench top development platforms and large server systems. Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks to be completed by another lab. Connect oscilloscope probes to boards and collect signal waveform data. Perform mechanical reworks involving power tools such as a Dremel. Run system tests. Collect and report on testing results. Screen modules and boards as part of validation testing and debug. Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and manage inventory of equipment and materials. Maintain and organize the lab equipment for efficiency and continuously look for ways to improve lab processes. Design and produce CAD models and detailed drawings for custom test fixtures, with the ability to integrate designs into lab systems. Experience with Creo is preferred but not required. Support the development, modification, and refinement of prototype components and fixtures, incorporating feedback from engineers and technicians. Utilize 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods to fabricate, adjust, and assemble CAD-designed parts. Proficiency with hand tools is highly desirable. Run laboratory tests on prototypes and make modifications as needed to improve functionality and performance. Familiarity with electrical wiring and basic system integration is a plus. Diploma/Certification, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (or equivalent experience) Min 2+ years of hands-on experience in an electronic or testing lab in the areas of silicon bring up, board-level design/validation, or system design/validation. Fundamental knowledge of computing architectures and relevant hands-on hardware/software debug experience Experience with Linux command line operation. Solid system-level debugging experience & familiarity with board bring-up and customer support. Good attention to detail, as well as clear written and verbal communications. Experience with BMC, server management processors. Proven basic networking knowledge and server maintenance. Competence to perform simple solder reworks. Experience with lab test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes and understanding to follow a schematic. Experience with x86/ARM architectures and accelerated GPU computing. Rate/Salary
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $30.00 to $30.00 per hourly on W2. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay. Seniority level
