Partner with other engineers and information technology staff to orchestrate code builds, quality and security analyses, deployments, and automated testing through CI/CD release candidacy pipelines. Articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions. Model release candidate CI/CD pipelines to communicate the steps necessary to determine a release candidate for each application and service. Design and develop fully autonomous CI/CD pipelines facilitating cloud deployments, including automation of infrastructure, services, and application build and deployment. Ensure all parts of the pipeline follow best software engineering practices, including automated tests and infrastructure tests. Research new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement highly scalable CI/CD platforms to support high change volumes and fast feedback. Automate operational activities and tasks. Respond to performance issues identified by alerts and incidents related to CI/CD platforms. Build tools to reduce errors and improve customer experiences. Assist in troubleshooting production issues and ensure pipelines and infrastructure produce clear documentation and metrics for Root Cause Analysis. Develop and test Ansible Playbooks, Terraform scripts, and Packer scripts; establish immutable infrastructure so patches are managed as artifacts of the past. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, InfoSec, Software Delivery, and QA to enable cloud adoption through complete automation. This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology. Preferences
Four (4) years of relevant DevSecOps experience. AWS DevOps certification or Azure DevOps certification. Experience building/deploying cloud-native applications – OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Experience observing real-time metrics in the pipeline and deployment strategies such as Blue/Green or Canary. Experience with AWS or Azure cloud technologies. Experience with secrets management solutions like HashiCorp Vault. Familiar with Chaos engineering principles in pipelines to identify weak links and propose solutions. Familiar with testing tools that facilitate automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Comfortable developing pipelines as code using YAML specs and Ansible playbooks. Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication and mentoring skills for developers and team members in DevSecOps. Strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, networking, and architectural patterns across compute, containers, serverless, and databases; including security and application services. Proficiency in Python. Understanding of Shift Left principles and facilitating technologies. Working knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Git, and ServiceNow is a plus. Hands-on programming experience in developing/maintaining enterprise applications, APIs, and reusable SDKs in .NET C# and Java. Experience developing and maintaining reusable CI/CD pipelines and templates using Harness CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Artifactory. This position is currently offsite within Regions’ 15-state footprint, preferably close to a Regions office; associates will work from home primarily and may be required to go on-site for meetings or events as needed. Below are typical market references for the role’s location. Minimum Job Range Target: $132,872.85 USD Median: $166,000.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus plan.
