Job Description The CNC Programmer is an essential member of the Atlas Gunworks team. A skilled CNC programmer who is willing to improve processes and creatively analyze each part to maximize machining efficiency in a production environment is who we are looking for. The CNC Programmer would be responsible for programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines in a production environment. The CNC Programmer would also create setup sheets and standard tool lists for the different cells they are responsible for.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and modifying CNC programs for multi-axis machines to produce accurate programs, setup sheets, and tool lists, enabling first-article success on high tolerance & high-value parts.

Responsible for generating CNC programming, quoting machining cycle times, leads, and cultivating manufacturing techniques pertaining to reducing part cost and increasing part quality.

Working in conjunction with the Machine Shop Manager to make machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most cost-effective manner.

Including fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.

Take "ownership" of the success of assigned Programming projects and ensures timely completion of projects by ensuring:

Materials and tooling selection, procurement, and setup to meet component manufacturing needs, including auxiliary fixture design and fabrication.

Manage the selection and ordering of any cutting tools & holders needed for each assigned project.

Ensure needed materials are onsite before the setup and prove out of each assigned project.

Maintain CAD data to ensure up-to-date accuracy for production Rev's.

Efficient integration of existing methods with new process innovation to economically solve production problems in a timely manner.

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Partner in machining process development & optimization (part setup/fixturing, machining strategy/order of operations, tool selection, speed/feed process parameter selection).

Perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.

Requirements Here\'s what you\'ll need to be considered for this opportunity:

5+ years of CNC programming experience (preferably in a production environment).

Experience working in Mastercam/Fusion 360/Esprit/Solid Works

Have a high school diploma or equivalent (strongly preferred, but not required).
