Responsibilities

The Surface Planning Analyst will be responsible for creating, maintaining and enhancing the various tools and processes used by the Surface Planning Engineering Team

The Analyst will be required to adopt and decipher custom code written by prior developers in Python, C++, VBA and JavaScript to support the everyday planning tasks for the team and processes for the organization

Troubleshooting issues and upgrading scripts when IT platforms are updated. Quality assurance and stability of the team’s planning tools are key to avoid any execution delays

Responsible with collaborating with key stakeholders to create and enhance processes to improve planning timelines and with additional initiatives to add value to the company

Prepare presentations and documentation to stakeholders for tools and process deployment

Train and mentor members of the team on how to use newly created and/or existing tools

Develop and maintain dashboards to support scheduling and reports to upper management

Education/Skills

Technical Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering or related)

3 years of Upstream Oil and Gas Experience

Strong Proficiency in programming languages (C++, SQL, Python, Java)

Team oriented, have interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly to multidisciplinary teams

Project management oriented and have the ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Skilled in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc)

Optional – Experience with mapping software such as ArcGIS and Google Earth

Optional – Experience with Dashboard/Data tools such as PowerBi and Spotfire
