12 Months Scope of the Project
This role will focus on
data modeling and production database support
in Oracle and MS SQL Server environments. The successful candidate will: Assess the current state of existing
ERwin data models
and produce reports.
Develop and maintain new or updated
logical and physical data models
(.erwin files).
Create and maintain
data dictionaries and model documentation .
Manage a
version-controlled repository
of data models.
Identify and resolve
data integrity and consistency issues , including duplicate data resolution.
Provide regular reporting, including
weekly progress updates
and a
final project summary .
Support SQL DBA tasks such as
daily tickets, version/security updates, and production activities , which may occasionally require after-hours work.
You will work in a collaborative team of database engineers and administrators, alongside application architects, developers, business analysts, and server support teams. Daily Duties / Responsibilities
Create and update
data models
and supporting documentation using ERwin.
Perform
reverse and forward engineering
of database structures.
Apply best practices for
data modeling, metadata management, and documentation .
Design, develop, and maintain
logical and physical data models
using ERwin Data Modeler.
Ensure database designs meet
scalability, integrity, and performance requirements .
Identify and report on
data integrity and consistency issues , with recommendations for resolution.
Support duplicate data resolution efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
translate business requirements into data models .
Manage version control of data models and maintain model repositories.
Support
data governance and compliance initiatives .
Perform modeling activities for both
Oracle and MS SQL Server databases .
Provide Oracle and MS SQL
production support
as directed by the DBA manager.
Required Skills
Minimum
3 years of professional data modeling experience
with ERwin Data Modeler (or similar tool).
3+ years of
Oracle 18/19 DBA and/or SQL Server 2019/2022 experience .
Preferred Skills
SQL Server DBA certification.
Experience with
DD Boost
for Oracle database backup/restore.
Experience with
Oracle Grid Control .
Experience with
Oracle ASM .
3+ years of experience with
database backup and restore operations .
3+ years of experience with
Oracle Grid (Control) .
Education Requirement
High School Diploma
(minimum).
