Overview
Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines. Remote with occasional travel. Location: Longwood, FL. Book focus: Construction, Contractors, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Aerospace. Please note: If the position is posted as remote and/or hybrid, individuals within a 50-mile radius of a branch location may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity. Remote work requires a dedicated, distraction-free workspace. Remote work is not a substitute for childcare or other personal responsibilities during working hours. Manage an assigned book of business, ensure account retention, and support new business. Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolve complex issues, and serve as a subject matter expert for the account management team. Key Responsibilities
Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise. Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team. Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis. Manage policy expirations and renewals. Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals. Monitor accounts receivable, delinquent balances, and take appropriate action. Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data. Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion. Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload and issues. Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests. Stay updated on company policies and procedures. Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance. Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values. Ideal Candidate Qualifications
5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs Active licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) High School Diploma or equivalent What We Offer
