The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of end-user computers, peripherals, hardware, and software. The role also manages warranty repairs and replacements while collaborating closely with users, field support analysts, service desk staff, the asset management team, and other IT support personnel to deliver exceptional customer service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide on-site, remote, and phone support for business partners (IT customers).
Install, troubleshoot, configure, and upgrade hardware, operating systems, and application software.
Diagnose and resolve technology-related issues or escalate to the appropriate support areas.
Follow up on open issues to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution (incident closure).
Create clear support documentation for staff on proper use, troubleshooting, and remediation of software and devices.
Communicate and conduct oneself as a professional customer service representative.
Organize, maintain, and track equipment and parts for repair and replacement.

Required:
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
Effective problem-solving and active listening skills.
Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems.
Ability to analyze and repair hardware issues on desktop and laptop computers.
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Experience
Required:
3 years of customer service experience.
3 years of IT equipment support experience.
Preferred:
6 years of customer service experience.
6 years of IT equipment support experience.
Education
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or business administration with a concentration in computer science.
Licenses/Certifications
Required:
Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred:
ITIL Certification.
Microsoft Certified Product Specialist (MCP), A+ Certification, or related certifications/training.
