Charterhouse is working with a prestigious and globally active family office that is looking to hire a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join its advanced technology team. Our client is known for its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and philanthropic impact. The role sits within a high-performing product and engineering group responsible for delivering cutting-edge digital solutions that support both investment and philanthropic initiatives. This DevOps Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary pillar focused on product support and design, encompassing engineering architecture, full-stack development, AI-driven product innovation, and customer success. The role is part of the innovation team responsible for building and maintaining scalable platforms that enable seamless operations across the organization’s diverse ventures. This is a hands-on engineering position for a DevOps expert who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and implementing observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. The role also involves close collaboration with software engineers and product teams to embed DevOps and SRE best practices across the development lifecycle. Responsibilities
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure. Automate deployment pipelines and implement CI/CD practices. Build and manage observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to embed DevOps and SRE best practices across the development lifecycle. Architect and manage infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab). Automate operational workflows and manage Linux-based systems with a focus on performance and security. Deploy observability stacks (ELK, Loki, Prometheus, Grafana). Scripting in Python or Go and applying SRE principles to enhance resilience and reduce toil. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous. Proficiency in managing Linux systems and scripting in Python or Go. Solid understanding of SRE methodologies and observability frameworks.
