Overview
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is a hands-on technical leader responsible for managing and actively participating in the day-to-day operations of the enterprise infrastructure environment. This role oversees enterprise-wide datacenter infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, and backup, while providing direct technical support, executing complex tasks, and mentoring the engineering team. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, engineering depth, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Lead and directly contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of core infrastructure systems (Windows & Linux Server, VMware, backup, storage, etc.) Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and guide resolution hands-on Manage infrastructure health, performance, patching, capacity, and availability Build and maintain infrastructureautomation scripts and templates (e.g., PowerShell, Infrastructure-as-Code) Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes, performing regular validation tests Collaborate with IT security to enforce hardening standards and ensure compliance Maintain and support the on-premises and remote datacenter environments Document infrastructure architecture designs, SOPs, and configurations thoroughly Guide and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical direction and development opportunities Manage vendor relationships and support contracts for infrastructure components Drive continuous improvement in reliability, scalability, and efficiency of systems Responsible for Datacenter Day to Day Operations

Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy Linux Server – multiple “flavors” VMware vSphere / ESXi, Hyper-V Storage platforms (SAN, NAS), backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.) Monitoring and alerting tools (SCOM, PRTG, SolarWinds, etc.) Patch management and configuration tools (SCCM, WSUS, Intune) Business applications Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience 10+ years of technical infrastructure experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or team lead capacity Deep experience with Windows-based infrastructure, virtualization, and storage/backup Demonstrated ability to lead and execute infrastructure projects from start to finish Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell) Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Experience with On Premises Active Directory Experience with Entra AD / Entra Experienced with Migrations to Entra Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, ITIL, or equivalent Experience in mid-sized or multi-site enterprise environments Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO) Experience in hybrid cloud environments (Azure preferred) Experience supporting manufacturing or distributed business applications Compensation and Benefits
As applicable, annual pay range for this position is $106,500 - $152,500, reflecting base salary with performance-based adjustments. Offer details may vary based on location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
