Location: Remote with travel once testing begins (ID and WY)

Employment Type: Full-Time 40+ hours per week with OT as needed

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer with a strong background in the nuclear industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10-15+ years of hands-on experience in system integration and understanding I&C systems for DOE nuclear applications, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves contributing to the development, implementation, and system integration of control systems that support safe and efficient nuclear operations, including reactor instrumentation, safety systems, and process controls. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop customer-specific industrial control systems utilizing Allen Bradley hardware such as ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs, and software like FactoryTalk View, including electrical controls design and integration of sensors, motors, and I/O signals.

Program PLCs and HMIs to monitor sensors, control motors, execute logic functions, and enable features such as integrated communication, safety protocols, and remote access, with a focus on batch processes, process control, and data tracking using tools like FactoryTalk Batch and PlantPAx.

Integrate new technologies into existing systems, including controllers, HMIs, networks, and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) systems, while commissioning setups at client facilities in sectors like manufacturing, oil and gas, food and beverage, or automotive.

Optimize systems for real-time data transfer, historical logging, alarming, and analytics, including recipe management and event handling through software suites like FactoryTalk Metrics.

Manage projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherenceto client specifications, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Prepare CAD drawings for control systems, maintain version control, change management, and backups using tools like AssetCentre.

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on control systems, particularly in applications like water/wastewater, to ensure reliability, security, and minimal downtime.

Build, install, and service new or retrofit automation systems, providing ongoingsupport and integrated solutions to clients.

Demonstrate technical competencies in Control, Process, Power, and Information Solutions through continuous training and maintaining certifications as part of the Rockwell PartnerNetwork.

Collaborate with sales teams to achieve revenue goals, address customer challenges, and participate in strategic planning for business growth opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a safety-critical, regulated environment.

U.S. citizenship or eligibility for security clearance may be required due to nuclear facility access.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field().

Proven experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation products andprogramming.

Strong knowledge of PLC/HMI programming, industrial networks, and system integration.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Certification in Rockwell Automation technologies is a plus.

Skills

Experience with DOE nuclear and/or government background

Familiarity with system integration for digital I&C systems, cybersecurity considerations in nuclear controls, or human-machine interfaces (HMIs).

Validation & Verification (V&V) development and execution
