Overview
IT Basis Architect (Tampa) at TECO Peoples Gas. This role provides leadership and technical expertise in the implementation of systems used by Peoples Gas System, including SAP S/4HANA, EAM, SAP Field Service Management, SAP Service and Asset Manager, SAP BTP, Snowflake, GIS, and GPS Barcoding. The architect will shape solutions on-premises and in the cloud to maximize the value of physical assets and support construction, compliance, maintenance, and operations of utility processes and assets. What You Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years of direct work experience in duties related to this position. Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP Basis, SAP BTP, SAP Mobile Services, SAP ABAP, SAP PI/PO, SAP EAM, SAP ERP, SAP CRM GIS, GPS Barcoding, Gas Management Systems, BizTalk, SAP Security, SAP Basis, etc. At least 3 years supervisory or leadership experience. Experience with multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations and strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA administration, and related upgrades/migrations. Ability to champion a clear vision for GIS, Gas Management Systems, SAP domains, Azure/cloud infrastructures, and related technologies. Proficient knowledge of business processes and the ability to articulate roles, goals, and timelines for projects. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Experience in defining architectural artifacts, blueprints, standards, and procedures for information systems architecture. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Own end-to-end technical design and ensure architectural assurance for SAP S4, GIS, GPS Barcoding, Gas Management Systems, and SAP EAM. Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to align on technology directions and standards. Lead, coach, and mentor technical teams; support future business initiatives and roadmap planning for relevant system domains. Assess impact of major change requests and guide governance for scope and solution adjustments. Create and maintain architectural artifacts, standards, and procedures for data, applications, and technology architecture. What Will Give You A Competitive Edge
At least 1 professional certification relevant to the role (preferred). Experience with Mobile Field Automation and Cloud applications (Azure, BTP, Snowflake, FSM). Knowledge of SAP Utilities Solutions (CRM/CCS, ISU Billing, EDM Invoicing, Device Management, FICA) and SAP Business Data Cloud. Ability to translate business requirements into designs and maintain overall application integrity. Team Structure
Direct Supervision:
Resource management, staff augmentation, vendor relationships, and on-call support; may serve as a backup to the Manager. Indirect Supervision:
