IT Project Manager
opportunity in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This role is a hybrid position based in Elma, NY, with Acara Solutions working with our client. If you have experience leading IT projects or programs and want to advance your career with a top company, this is a potential fit. Responsibilities
Establish, refine, and report on the program schedule, including management of workstream timelines, deliverables, and dependencies. Facilitate team meetings for various project workstreams, ensure progress is captured, and share meeting minutes as appropriate. Manage financial tracking and planning for program expenses, including reconciliation of invoices against planned capital and operational expenses, tracking purchase requests against budgets, and updating budgets and cash flow forecasts. Track deliverable status for data center, compute, network, storage, database, cloud, and security workstreams; manage past due items to closure. Summarize progress, prepare materials, and lead program steering committee discussions, flagging risks and actions for decision and follow-up. Coach and support agile planning processes for the program team to remove blockers, outline dependencies, and enable frequent delivery of value. Ensure accountability and delivery success of vendor and partner relationships, tracking delivery of critical equipment and milestones to plan, and escalating as needed. What you’ll get
Pay rate: $35.00-$48.00/Hour Hours: 40 Hours/Week, 1st Shift Length: Contract (12 Months) Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Minimum of 10 years of experience working in and leading IT projects or programs Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Experience with disaster recovery or business continuity topics Ability to manage multiple workstreams/projects simultaneously Foundational understanding of infrastructure and security domains (compute, network, storage, data center, security) Comfort with ambiguity, collaborative problem-solving, and resourcefulness Additional Information
