to join our team. Job Overview A Senior Solutions Architect (SSA) at Perficient blends broad solution‑architecture leadership with deep technology expertise. In this role, you will be our

go‑to expert for Microsoft Fabric and the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform , guiding enterprise clients through greenfield deployments, modern data‑platform transformations, and ongoing enterprise data‑warehouse (EDW) operations. You will: Provide best‑fit architectural solutions, size and scope work, and anchor proofs of concept. Own Fabric evangelism and presales conversations, partnering with account teams to shape new opportunities. Lead delivery teams to implement Fabric Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real‑Time Analytics, and Power BI solutions that balance self‑service flexibility with strong governance. Act as the "swiss‑army knife" who can keep critical EDW workloads running while modernizing data estates. As part of Perficient's senior leadership community, you will mentor architects and consultants, influence practice direction, and represent Perficient in the growing Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. Responsibilities Own and drive the end‑to‑end architecture for Microsoft Fabric implementations and EDW modernizations. Provide architectural assessments, roadmaps, and governance frameworks (Fabric workspaces, OneLake organization, capacity planning, Purview lineage, sensitivity labeling). Lead discovery workshops to capture business and technical requirements for data ingestion, modeling, analytics, and visualization. Design and develop: Fabric Lakehouse architectures (Delta tables, Medallion patterns, Data Mesh). Fabric Pipelines / Data Factory ETL & ELT processes-including migration of ADF/Synapse pipelines. Fabric Warehouses (T‑SQL, performance tuning, high‑concurrency configuration). Real‑Time Analytics solutions (KQL databases, Data Activator alerting, streaming datasets). Power BI semantic models using DirectLake, Import, Composite, and CI/CD deployment pipelines. Produce high‑quality architecture diagrams, backlog work packages, and effort estimates. Guide multiple Agile Scrum teams from sprint planning through continuous delivery. Liaise with offshore teams to resolve dependencies, issues, and risks. Mentor colleagues on Fabric best practices and contribute to Perficient's Fabric community of practice. Support sales pursuits with demos, POVs, and statements of work. Engage onsite at the client's St. Louis office as needed to ensure smooth EDW operations and stakeholder alignment. Qualifications 10–15 years of professional experience, including 5 + years delivering enterprise data‑platform solutions on Azure. Expertise in Microsoft Fabric across all experiences (Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Data Science, Real‑Time Analytics, Power BI). Proven ability to maintain and modernize enterprise data warehouses (EDW) while implementing Fabric‑based architectures. Hands‑on front‑end (Power BI dashboards, semantic modeling) and back‑end (Lakehouse, pipelines, warehouses) solution delivery. Minimum five (5) full‑lifecycle Fabric, Synapse, or Databricks projects, covering discover → design → implement → optimize phases. Leadership history in professional‑services/consulting environments, including project estimation, team structure definition, and client workshop facilitation. Required certification: DP‑600 Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate Preferred certifications: AZ‑305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert DP‑700 Fabric Data Engineer Associate PL‑300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate Proficiency with Azure DevOps or Git‑based CI/CD pipelines for Fabric assets and workspace lifecycle automation. Strong grasp of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework principles, data‑governance concepts, and Purview integration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences. Experience leading globally distributed teams; willingness to mentor junior staff. Location: St. Louis, MO strongly preferred; qualified US‑based remote candidates considered. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
