Join Mizuho as an Infrastructure Platform Engineer! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering and Cloud Enablement organization. As a key member of the Infrastructure Platform Engineering (IPE) team, you will contribute to the modernization of infrastructure provisioning and automation across the enterprise. You’ll work closely with engineering peers to build scalable, reusable platforms and tooling that empower technical teams to deliver faster, more reliably, and with consistency. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to influence technical direction, contribute to platform capabilities, and grow within a high-impact team. What You’ll Do
Collaborate with team members to implement modern tooling, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and self-service capabilities. Develop and maintain infrastructure pipelines, reusable Terraform modules, and automation playbooks to support consistent delivery across hosting platforms (VMware, OpenShift). Support the firm’s container platform (OpenShift), contributing to its scalability, reliability, and ease of use for internal application teams. Write, test, and maintain infrastructure automation artifacts following established coding and release standards. Contribute to the evolution of Ansible as a platform for automation, orchestration, and configuration management. Participate in Linux OS engineering efforts, focusing on automation, standardization, and compliance across the RHEL environment. Work closely with Cloud and Core Infrastructure teams to ensure platform solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with hybrid infrastructure patterns. Provide input into the technical roadmap and help evaluate new tools and approaches for infrastructure modernization. Document solutions, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence. What We’re Looking For
4–6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles. Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible in hybrid environments. Good understanding of Linux OS engineering, including system configuration, automation, and lifecycle management. Solid experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes, including cluster operations and support. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows. Exposure to VMware or VCF-based private cloud platforms and their integration with automation pipelines. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Passion for automation, infrastructure modernization, and improving developer experiences. Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing engineering team. The base salary range is provided for informational purposes and may vary by location and other factors. In addition to salary, a generous benefits package and discretionary bonus may apply.
