Sherpa 6, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Integrator to support the USSOCOM Program Executive Office – Tactical Information Systems (PEO-TIS) across the SOF Tactical Communications (STC), Field Computing Device–Wearable (FCD-W), and Watchtower programs. This role provides direct technical expertise, integration support, and training for advanced tactical communications systems used by Special Operations Forces. Responsibilities
Program & Technical Integration: Support program office fielding, synchronization, and integration activities. Assist with acquisition management and vendor coordination. Integrate new equipment with existing systems for demonstrations, testing, and operational use. Develop and implement specifications, standards, and interoperability requirements for new technologies. Systems & Network Expertise: Configure and support tactical communications systems, including MANET radios (PRC-167, PRC-163, L3H CPA, etc.). Support TAK (ATAK/WinTAK) ecosystem deployment and training, including TAK Server configuration. Integrate hardware/software into tactical network architectures, including satellite, LTE, and router/switch environments. Conduct interoperability testing across all relevant programs and stakeholders. Training & Field Support: Deliver end-user training (NET), on-the-job training (OJT), and sustainment instruction. Provide technical guidance on capabilities, applications, and best practices. Support live exercises, RDT&E events, and operational deployments. Logistics & Maintenance: Manage inventory, track equipment, and coordinate shipments and repairs (RMA). Document and report all maintenance actions, field events, and training activities. Ensure operational readiness and accurate lifecycle tracking of assets. Advanced Systems Administration: Configure wideband/narrowband radios, network hardware, and PKI-based secure communications. Manage Linux-based systems, Docker containers, and proxy services. Support server automation, scripting, and configuration management tools. Troubleshoot complex network issues, including self-signed certificate environments. Requirements
Active DoD Secret clearance with TS eligibility. Strong background in DoD tactical/strategic communications and network architectures. Hands-on experience with MANET radios, TAK ecosystem, and secure network configuration. Familiarity with Android/iOS systems and wireless transport technologies. Strong problem-solving, customer service, and technical documentation skills. Preferred
10+ years in USSOCOM communications roles. Proven expertise or in-depth knowledge of AN/PRC-137, TRQ-43, and AN/PRC-160 radio systems, HF theory and antenna theory. Knowledge of AN/PRC-161 Handheld Link 16 BATS-D radio and TRAX software. CompTIA Security+, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent SOF communications experience. Proficiency in Linux administration, PKI, Docker, and networking protocols. Experience with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Office Suite administration. Cloud experience (Azure/AWS) with container orchestration (Kubernetes). Ability to manage crisis situations involving network outages or delays and support time-sensitive deployments. About Sherpa 6
