Sentinel Staff Software Engineer - 16323 - R10210575 at Northrop Grumman. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. This position can be filled in Colorado Springs, CO or Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, integrate, document, and deliver software for the Support Test Equipment effort. Provide SW development for the I&T organization. Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Identify, analyze, and adjudicate software deficiencies. Perform integration testing, regression testing, and formal qualification testing in an agile software development environment. Work with the lead test engineer and a team of software developers to establish and develop test methods and techniques. Design, develop, and maintain software test plans, software test cases, software test procedures, and automated software test in compliance with program functional, technical, and performance requirements. Lead as a coach and mentor to less experienced team members. Qualifications
12 years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study; 10 years with Masters; 8 years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date within the last 6 years. Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security + CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience with Agile and cross-functional Scrum teams. Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design principles. Familiarity with Full Stack application development including API design. Experience with database design and programming in object-oriented languages (C++, Java, Python). Familiarity with MBSE languages (SysML/UML) and concepts. Experience with UI design and development, or interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation. Ability to plan, execute, and manage the technical scope and support leadership planning. Ability to work with limited direction. Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or similar. Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and DOORS/Cameo. Experience evaluating risks and presenting solutions to management. Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner in Agile. Experience using Atlassian tools to track backlog; knowledge of CDrls for government use. Experience designing software using UML in Cameo; MBSE tooling familiarity (Cameo or similar). Experience evaluating COTS for system delivery; knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, vCenter, vSphere or similar. Experience developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes. Strong communication and cross-organizational negotiation skills. Salary and Benefits
Primary level salary range: $147,700.00 - $233,200.00. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions when determining base salary offers.
