Overview
CGI is seeking a self-motivated Senior Geneva Developer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client. Hands-on senior developer (10+ years) with domain experience in Prime Services on the SS&C Advent Geneva platform, using Java 8/J2EE, REST API, Spring, and Oracle. This position is located at client site in Jersey City, NJ with a hybrid schedule (in the office 3/4 days a week). Responsibilities
Develop Geneva Product Development application in Java 8, Spring, REST, and microservices. Gather requirements from Business Analysts and document technical approaches. Develop application enhancements, perform bug fixing, debugging, and resolve Oracle performance issues. Apply SDLC concepts for designing, coding, testing, and implementing. Integrate front-end modules with REST APIs. Perform unit testing and snapshot testing of components. Collaborate with offshore development team for design suggestions, development progress, and status updates. Mentor developers on design and development practices. Conduct code reviews and advocate best coding/design practices. Provide guidance to support teams on debugging issues. Build and deploy applications across environments. Provide support to QA, UAT, and production users. Deliver multiple ongoing demos to UAT users and support teams. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Senior Consultant with 10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience in an engineering environment, proficient with the SS&C Advent Geneva platform. Experience with Geneva upgrades, implementations, and support. Proficiency in Geneva RSL, RSL query tuning, and Geneva data model. Proficiency in Geneva setup – portfolios and investment profiles. Strong understanding of Portfolio Accounting fundamentals (PNL, Tax lots, Balance, Ledger, etc.). Experience designing and building high-performance, high-availability, scalable distributed applications supporting large data volumes. Knowledge of streaming/messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka). Understanding of Microservices architecture and REST APIs; ability to design and implement microservices. Experience with PL/SQL/Stored Procedures in databases such as Oracle and Sybase. Role based in Jersey City; in-office 3 days/week (no remote). Experience in Financial Capital Markets domain of Prime Services is a plus. Agile development experience is valuable. Other Information
Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is estimated at $105,800.00 - $234,300.00, depending on skills, experience, training, and certifications.
