Overview
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Nutrition and Neurology at Mass General Brigham. The Brain Nutrition Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard, led by Dr. Gene Bowman and part of the McCance Center for Brain Health in the Department of Neurology, seeks to accelerate scientific discovery in brain health through nutritional research. Data-driven research: Utilize datasets including dietary and lifestyle factors, biospecimens (blood, CSF), neuroimaging biomarkers, and post-mortem brain tissue to uncover mechanisms linking diet to brain health. Longitudinal and statistical analysis: Conduct longitudinal analyses of brain health outcomes using advanced methods such as disease incidence modeling and dimension reduction on exposure/outcome measures in nutritional neurology. Scientific communication: Prepare technical reports and manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals and contribute to grant proposals with robust preliminary findings to compete for federal, foundation, and industry funding. Qualifications
Doctoral-level training (PhD, MD, ScD, ND or equivalent) in nutritional epidemiology, neuroepidemiology, medicine, epidemiology, or nutritional biochemistry/biology, including human investigation experience evidenced by publications. Evidence of research and publication productivity in peer‑reviewed settings, with an aspiration to advance original research on nutrition and lifestyle factors impacting brain health. Valuable assets: Experience in brain aging research, Alzheimer’s or cerebrovascular diseases; independence in longitudinal statistical analysis; success in participant recruitment; and early funding accomplishments. Doctoral degree in relevant areas (nutritional epidemiology, medicine, nutritional biochemistry/biology) with demonstrated research output in human investigations. How to Apply
