Position Information Job Title: Assistant Professor (School of Accountancy) Posting Number: P2208F Position Summary The School of Accountancy (School) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks applications for a qualified tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are open to all areas of research. Our primary teaching needs are in financial accounting. This nine-month position is designed to support the School’s degree programs. The effective employment date will be August 2026. Responsibilities Produce high-quality research with publications in leading academic journals. Achieve teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Provide appropriate service to the department, college, and university. Maintain a teaching load commensurate with research expectations. Contribute to the collegial and intellectual environment by collaborating with other faculty members. About the Department & Programs The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong research program aligned with the School’s research-active faculty. The School values diverse research that meaningfully impacts practice and theory. It employs archival and experimental methodologies across subdisciplines. The School houses an undergraduate major and a Master of Accountancy program, and its online programs are highly ranked. The School also supports MBA programs and provides opportunities for research participation and data access.
