Postdoctoral Researcher, Computer Vision – AI/ML Radiology

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Postdoctoral Researcher focused on Computer Vision (AI/ML Radiology). This position can be located remotely in the United States. Our Data Science Analytics & Insights team develops innovative solutions across multiple disease areas using diverse data sources. We are seeking an outstanding postdoc to contribute to radiology-focused AI/ML research that can impact drug discovery and healthcare. Responsibilities

Conceive, develop, and implement analytics and AI/ML radiology solutions to high-priority scientific problems Participate in cross-functional collaborations with external companies and internal scientific, clinical, and data science teams Shape internal/external collaborations and define the scope of research questions Extract insights from complex, unstructured radiology image or other imaging data to improve drug discovery and healthcare (e.g., disease identification, patient stratification, disease insights) Clearly articulate highly technical methods and results to diverse audiences and partners to drive decision-making Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., artificial intelligence, computer science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or related field), completed within the past 3 years, or expected within the next 6 months Experience driving research in and applying Computer Vision techniques (e.g., Foundation models, Transformers, CNNs, Diffusion models, RNNs, GANs, radiomics) Extensive experience with traditional Computer Vision applications (OpenCV, object detection, edge detection, image segmentation) Extensive hands-on experience with medical imaging modalities and formats (e.g., DICOM, NRRD, NIfTI) and collaborating with subject matter experts Proficiency in Python or C++ Strong publication record and ability to communicate technical work to a wide audience Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on technical data analysis, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and Docker Experience with radiology imaging (MRI, CT, PET, X-ray) and different imaging modalities Experience with real-world data (RWD) and drug discovery/clinical development processes Experience working with healthcare professionals Experience with meaningful disease biology in cancer, immunology, neuroscience, cardiovascular, or infectious disease Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base pay range is $77,000 to $108,000. The position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan, among others.
