The EH&S Engineer must possess broad technical and managerial expertise to support these activities. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety related field Recognized Safety Professional Certification (examples include BCSP GSP or ASP) Desired Skills and Attributes
Responsible team membership and commitment to safety culture Strong verbal and written communication skills Personal development and dedication to professional growth Experience and Capabilities
Conduct regular job site inspections to identify hazards, document findings, and verify corrective actions Support incident investigations, including interviews, data collection, photography, and documentation Evaluate planning and permits such as Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Steel Erection, Energized Work, and Pre-cast Tilt-Up for effective mitigation Apply industrial hygiene principles related to hearing conservation, lasers, silica, asbestos, and lead work Understand fire protection and hazardous materials management Knowledge of OSHA regulations Working Conditions
Work in indoor office and outdoor construction sites, requiring sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, and bending Variable work hours based on project needs Noise levels vary by location Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs Climbing stairs and ladders as needed Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and vest A comprehensive benefits package is offered.
