This job listing has expired and may no longer be relevant! Caldwell, NJ Caldwell University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and Web/Interactive Design. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. We are seeking candidates with expertise in graphic design and web/interactive design to lead and grow our graphic design program. The position requires teaching a wide range of graphic design areas, including typography, branding, digital art, web/interactive design, animation, video, and motion design. The ideal candidate will update and create new courses, possibly collaborating with faculty in Computer Science or Communications to develop a forward-looking curriculum. Candidates should maintain an active creative practice and stay current with industry developments to equip students with relevant skills. We seek a dynamic teacher committed to instructing students at various skill levels and helping them secure graphic design opportunities. The ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and university administration is essential. Job Requirements: Must hold a terminal degree: MFA/MGD/MDes Teaching experience with a strong portfolio showcasing student work Knowledge of traditional and contemporary graphic design and web/interactive practices Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, 3D Animation Software, Web Design, 2D/3D/Hybrid Animation, Interactive/Immersive Media, Motion Design, Video Production, UI/UX Design Ability to work with IT to supervise the MacLab Participation in department, school, and all-faculty meetings, critiques, and activities such as open houses, convocations, and commencements How to apply
