About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications from exceptional senior candidates working in the areas of electro-optics for the endowed position of the Chadwick Chair and Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent. The school seeks individuals with demonstrated outstanding leadership in research and undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates should have an excellent record of scholarship. Of interest are candidates with an established and active record of accomplishment in leading large multi-institution and multi-disciplinary collaborative research efforts and a vision for developing the next generation of electro-optic components, devices and/or circuits.
