Role Location and Focus Our Denver, CO office is seeking a Junior engineer to support our stormwater/drainage group on existing and new projects in the West and NASA Regions. Join our team to collaborate with other talented individuals to support project teams throughout North America on planning, design, startup, and delivery tasks. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit to support a growing team by supporting services that include H&H modeling, FEMA compliance modeling, river hydraulics, culvert analysis, highway/roadway drainage, and rail corridor drainage.
Responsibilities
Plan, investigate, and perform field work activities to determine feasibility of options and to complete design activities
Perform detailed design related to the various projects encountered as a stormwater engineer conducting H&H modeling, FEMA compliance modeling, river hydraulics, culvert analysis, highway/roadway drainage, grading, utility relocations, and rail corridor drainage
Produce preliminary and final drawings in accordance with company and client standards while advancing the use of 3D modeling along with project site grading surfacing within the design team
Assist during construction to serve as the lead project engineer responsible for review of shop drawings, RFIs, and design clarifications
Assist and lead permitting activities with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
Attend project meetings, prepare agendas, and meeting minutes
Coordinate and work with various disciplines in the execution of the work
Work closely with project managers and senior engineers in review of work and coordination in execution of designs
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in water and/or wastewater design
Is a Professional Engineer or is an Engineer in Training (EIT) with the ability to obtain licensure as a Professional Engineer within two years preferred
Bachelor of Science degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline
Experience in design, bidding, and construction phase services for stormwater projects
High motivation and passion to provide exceptional client service
Solid technical background and project experience demonstrating the potential to grow into a senior project manager role in the water field
Ability to mentor early career staff, and proactively resolve issues to accomplish results
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present effective technical reports
Ability to follow a stringent QAQC processes

The expected salary for this position is $86,000- $105,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
