Overview
Electronic Technician III position with KBR Defense & Technology Solutions. The role involves maintenance and repair of security equipment and systems. Travel is required (75% - 100% travel throughout the larger metro area and to neighboring states).
Responsibilities
Knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to security systems and equipment installed at facilities.
Understand and follow technical guidance such as circuitry and layouts where available.
Locate, repair or replace equipment as required.
Troubleshoot complex security systems, hardware and software.
Independently assess and resolve security system problems.
Configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment; provide in-depth technical assistance to other technicians for corrective maintenance and restoration activities.
Travel 75% - 100% within the larger metro area and to neighboring states.
Maintain a company-issued credit card in good standing and submit accurate, timely expense reports per company policy.
Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree in a technically related field; or at least 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
At least 8 years of experience installing or maintaining Electronic Security System equipment (e.g., video surveillance, access control, intercoms, IDS, security gates).
Ability to obtain moderate suitability (customer) investigation prior to starting work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Johnson Controls P2000, Lenel OnGuard, Pelco, Genetec or Milestone is highly preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA general safety standards and proper care/use of PPE.
Compensation This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position. Base pay ranges and location-specific rates include: Honolulu, HI - $38.00/hr; Dallas, TX - $29.65/hr; Albuquerque, NM - $31.84/hr; Los Angeles, CA - $32.44/hr; San Diego, CA - $34.99/hr; Anchorage, AK - $42.33/hr; Salt Lake City, UT - $29.69/hr; Boston, MA - $32.69/hr; New York, NY - $33.09/hr. Each location may have different pay ranges.
