Do you have a passion for coaching? Are you competitive? Come Coach for the Y Swim Team! The Assistant Swim Team Coach is a key coaching staff for the swimmer. As an Assistant Swim Team Coach, you provide feedback on execution and direction during swim practice and swim meets. The Assistant Swim Team Coach will implement season goals for the swim team as well as individual swimmers. The Assistant Swim Team Coach will assist in planning and executing the weekly practice workouts and manage the meet program placements. The Assistant Swim Team Coach will inspire and prepare students with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. As Assistant Swim Team Coach you will give updates to parents about swimmers, respond to incidents, and interact with parents and participants. The Assistant Swim Team Coach provides high level of customer service and ensures a safe and positive program environment. The Assistant Swim Team Coach will facilitate a program that enhances the lives of swimmers by assisting them to goal set and achieve their goals. Swim Team Assistant Head Coach will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming. The salary for this position starts at $16.00 hourly. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status. We are specifically hiring for an additional coach Mondays 5:30-8:30 and Fridays 5:30-8pm at New Hope Y, as well as Sundays 2:30-4:45pm at Ridgedale Y This person would also ideally attend the occasional Saturday or Sunday swim meet.
