The University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC), Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for a leadership role as Chief for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. This academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level requires candidates to hold or be eligible for a Kentucky physician license, possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree, and be board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology. The role includes co-leadership of the Kentucky site of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program and a permanent position on the Program Steering Committee for the Partnership. The Kentucky Children’s Hospital offers Level I pediatric trauma care, Level IV NICU, and NICU/PICU services, with extensive sub-specialty programs. The institution collaborates with Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute to provide advanced pediatric heart care for Kentucky patients.

Responsibilities

Serve as Chief for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology (Associate Professor or Professor level).

Co-lead the Kentucky site of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program.

Maintain a permanent position on the Program Steering Committee for the Partnership.

Collaborate on research activities for clinical projects and care reports.

Participate in professional development activities and regional, state, and national meetings.

Qualifications

MD, DO, or equivalent degree; board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology or eligible for certification.

Minimum residency training of three years in Pediatrics and three years in Pediatric Cardiology.

Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky.
