role at Inside Higher Ed. The Department of Economics, Business, and Finance at Lake Forest College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business beginning Fall 2026. We seek a candidate with deep expertise in business analytics who can apply a data-driven approach across the business curriculum. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications and to mentor students in research. Teach courses such as business analytics and business information systems, and contribute to the department’s core curriculum (potentially including courses in management and/or marketing). Maintain a rigorous research program leading to peer‑reviewed publications; mentor undergraduate student research. Contribute to interdisciplinary programs within and outside the department. Maintain an active scholarly agenda and participate in College service as appropriate. Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related fields (ABD acceptable if the degree is conferred prior to the start of the 2026-27 academic year). Deep expertise in business analytics and a data-driven approach across the business curriculum. Demonstrated ability to teach and contribute to a liberal arts environment that values diversity and inclusion. Application Process
